Jimmy Havoc and Kip Sabian won the right to face AEW Tag Team Champions Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page on this week's show plus Cody would make his first TNT Championship defense against Jungle Boy, who earned the right by winning a battle royal last week. There was a lot to get stuck into on this week's Dynamite, so let's light the fuse and see what went down..

Jimmy Havoc & Kip Sabian v Kenny Omega & Hangman Page (AEW World Tag Team Championship Match)
Havoc and Sabian have developed into a solid pairing and looked a good choice for a filler match for the champs as they moved ahead with their reign. The Englishmen had a very different result in mind and were willing to put everything on the line to leave with the tag straps. Havoc took control of Omega early doors, hitting a number of elbow strikes to take the match into Havoc's familiar brawling territory. Kenny continued to take a beating as Havoc and Sabian tagged in and out but Kenny eventually managed to break free enough to get the tag to Hangman Page. Page hit the ring like a house on fire, hitting a vicious lariat on Havoc before he and Omega took turns chopping the chest of Havoc. Sabian attempted to break up the attack, but was caught from his springboard and thrown out of the ring by the champs. This prompted Penelope Ford to try and get involved on her fiancee's behalf, attempting a top rope hurricanrana on Page. Page was alert enough to catch the attack, holding Ford by the legs before dropping her to the mat. Referee Rick Knox sent Penelope to the back, stopping any further interference but while the ref was busy dealing with her and an enraged Sabian, Havoc jumped both Page and Omega with a wrench. Hangman managed to kick out from the ensuing pin attempt and the champs went to town on Havoc as retaliation for his vicious assault. The champs got into full flow, hitting double team moves and flowing combos to keep the challengers at bay for a while but Havoc and Sabian were sneaky enough to use quick tags to take control and separate Omega and Page. Havoc hit a vicious looking DDT on Omega and looked to have taken the win for his team. Page managed to break it up for a very close 2-count and Kenny continued to be assaulted as Sabian took over. A spiking poison-rana led to Havoc tagging back in and looking for the Michonoku Driver that won his team this opportunity. Kenny escaped and he and Page went back at it, hitting an assisted German Suplex and a powerbomb to slow down the challengers. The champs managed to get Havoc in position for the Buckshot Lariat/V-Trigger combo - now named the Last Call - and retained the belts after a match far more entertaining and competetive than it had any right to be.

Brian Cage v Sean Dean
Brian Cage was back to make an example of a lesser known talent to send a message to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley here, following on from his squash match last week and ahead of his World Championship match at Fyter Fest. Cage jumped the ropes and went straight at Sean Dean here, destroying the smaller man and putting this one away with ease. There was a release belly-to-belly suplex, a bucklebomb in the corner and the finish came from the drill claw in a match as dominant as it sounds. Post match, Taz jumped on the mic, claiming that Mox had disrespected him and Cage by laughing last week when Taz was talking up the big man. He told Mox that this wasn't a game and repeated the line from last week - "Beat him if you can, survive if he lets you". The Champ had heard enough, coming down to the ring to confront Taz. He told The Human Suplex Machine that he was looking forward to his match with Cage as he enjoys a challenge and that Cage is unlike any wrestler in AEW. He also said, however, that he was unlike ANYTHING that Cage had ever dealt with and that when you go after Mox's title, you'll be "in over your head and swimming with a different breed of shark". Mox is confident and defiant heading into the big clash between these two warriors and, while Cage is completely different to almost everyone else on the AEW roster, the champ will take on all comers and will take them in his stride.

Colt Cabana v Chris Jericho
Just before this match we saw a few vignettes. The first showed Lance Archer assaulting a masked wrestler while Alex Marvez tried for an interview. Jake Roberts apologised to Marvez after Archer had spit pure fury at him, claiming that one loss would not stop him and he would destroy everything in his path. Jake seems to have lost control of Archer and a Murder Hawk Monster untethered is a terrifying thought, considering how much chaos he has already brought to AEW. The second video clip was of Private Party and Matt Hardy catch up after last week's match. Matt checked in with Marq Quen that his knee had healed and told Private Party that they reminded him of a young Hardy Boyz team. The trio were clearly happy to be in each other's company and, as Matt left, he passed Sammy Guevara - still on his scooter - in the hall. Matt gave a yoga style bow and told his recent rival "We're cool man. Respect".
We came back to the ring next, where Chris Jericho was taking on Colt Cabana, blaming Boom Boom for not being able to get his hands on Mike Tyson at the end of last week's Dynamite. Cabana actually managed to control a lot of this match, but there were a few moments of interference from Jake Hager to put Le Champion back on top. Cabana managed to hit a nig clothesline in the corner and a top rope Frankensteiner to go close with a 2-count, but Jericho just got his shoulder up in time. As Cabana went up top again, he dived down at Jericho but was hit with a Judas Effect elbow to put an end to this one. Jericho grabbed the mic after the match and spoke about Mike Tyson, promising to knock the boxing legend out. He called The Baddest Man On The Planet to the ring, but it was Orange Cassidy who answered the call. cassidy entered the ring as nonchalantly as usual, put Jericho's hands in his pockets, then put his own hands in his own pockets, clearly trying to get Jericho onto his level of chill. Cassidy was quick enough to dodge attacks from Le Champion and Hager, rolling to the outside and being lifted over the barricade by his Best Friend buddies. There is clearly a big match up coming between Jericho and Tyson - possibly at Fyter Fest - but setting up this secondary feud with Cassidy is a great step as well. Cassidy's popularity is almost unmatched and Jericho is a great comedy heel to go against the best comedy babyface.

Big Swole v Nyla Rose
This was a match up between two of the most powerful women in AEW's female ranks. Swole started out trying to outpower Rose but she very quickly found out that she was the lesser of the two in that area. Having to change up her game plan, Swole went with some quicker moves, trying to take down her bigger opponent. This one went back and forth, with Rose's power game managing to break through the faster assault from Swole. In the end, Rose hit a spear and looked to be putting Swole away with a beast bomb, but Swole countered into a roll up. Nyla kicked out and hit a spinebuster/powerbomb combo to eventually pick up the win. Big Swole was interviewed at ringside but Britt Baker - in her "Role's Royce" - rammed into the barricade, trying to take out Swole. Swole threw a chair in retaliation as the Role Model backed off.

Tony Schiavone Interviews FTR
After last week's surprise appearance from Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, Tony was looking to find out what they were bringing to the table in AEW. FTR told Tony that they were there to be the best tag team in the world and to beat everyone else on their way to the top. The duo name-checked a bunch of teams that they wanted to beat and continued to claim that they would be the best but, just as the interview seemed to be wrapping up, The Butcher & The Blade stormed down the nearby staircase to confront the men who had taken them out last week. Before anything could break out, the two teams were separated by a crowd of people and FTR told The Butcher & The Blade that what they had done last week was not personal, at least not for them. The two main takeaways from this were that FTR will probably take on The Butcher & The Blade to claim their first scalp in AEW and the claim they made that when they do face the Young Bucks - in what can only be considered a dream match - they want their foes at 100% so there can be absolutely no excuses.
Just after this, we also saw Colt Cabana being interviewed after his loss to Chris Jericho and where he would go from here. Before Colt could say much, he was interrupted by Dark Order leader Brodie Lee, who once again offered Boom Boom a place in his group and a way to find success. This story is definitely one of intrigue and a group in the vein on the Dark Order should absolutely be trying to recruit new members all the time.

Jungle Boy v Cody (TNT Championship Match)
After last week's battle royal win, Jungle Boy was the first man to step up and face Cody for the TNT Championship. Cody has vowed to defend the red strap as part of an open challenge and this was the first step of that promise. This match started with some excellent technical wrestling, with each man exchanging holds and submission attempts and Jungle Boy only managed to break a FIgure Four leg lock by getting to the ropes. After Jungle Boy hit a big DDT for a close count, Cody rolled outside to recuperate. Cody managed to counted a tope attempt and hit a big headbutt on his young foe. Cody went for another but Jungle Boy moved out of the way and Cody headbutted the wall of the stage. Jungle Boy was caught in a war of words with MJF over by the guardrail and, as the camera panned back around, we saw that Cody had been busted wide open. Jungle Boy looked to take advantage, laying down a flurry of strikes to Cody's bleeding face and trying to roll him up for the win. Cody kicked out and the two exchanged some great back and forth action. As Jungle Boy went to the top, Cody managed to hit a dropkick to stop him and then a superplex for a very close 2-count. The two were fighting on the top rope again, jockeying for control but they only managed to take each other down and through the table on the outside. Cody was the first back to his feet, rolling Jungle Boy back into the ring and hit a vicious CrossRhodes to finally put Jungle Boy away. Brandi and Dustin Rhodes, Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt came down to check on the two competitors but it was Cody who pulled Jungle Boy to his feet and both men raised the other's arm as the show went off the air. This was a fantastic match, showcasing the 22-year old Jungle Boy as one to watch as well as highlighting what Cody can bring to the table with his new open challenge.
What did you think of this week's Dynamite? Will Lance Archer be even more dangerous on his return? Is Brian Cage capable of taking the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley? Who will face Cody for the TNT Championship next? Will Mike Tyson accept Chris Jericho's challenge? Let us know what you think of this and more down below!
