After last Wednesday's challenge from The Inner Circle for the first ever Stadium Stampede match, could we expect a response from The Elite tonight? What would happen when Jake Roberts and Arn Anderson went face-to-face on behalf of Lance Archer and Cody respectively? Would we find out who the final entrant into the Casino Ladder Match would be? Read on to find out, it's time to light the fuse...

Jon Moxley v 10

Kicking off this week's show, The Exalted One Brodie Lee headed to the ring surrounded by his Dark Order minions. They still had possession of Jon Moxley's AEW World Championship and Mr Brodie had some words for his opponent this Saturday at Double or Nothing. He told Mox that, if he wanted his title back, all he had to do was ask - echoing the champs sentiments after the Dark Order had beaten him down and taken his strap. Mr Brodie then claimed that he was no God, just a man in possession of something very special and on Saturday he would win to repay the faith of his Dark Order members. Following probably the first display of anything even approaching nice towards his followers, he immediately abandoned 10 to face Moxley by himself. 10 managed to hold his own against the champion for a little while, taking the fight to the outside and clearly looking to cause some damage before Mox took him down with a DDT, a piledriver and the Paradigm Shift for the win. Mox grabbed some chairs from under the ring and wrapped on around the arm of the Dark Order minion. He then took to the mic and told Brodie to return the championship within 10 seconds or he would break 10's arm. Brodie appeared on the screen, telling Mox that he had made his own bed and on Saturday Brodie would make sure he slept in it. Mox knew he wasn't getting his way tonight, so he slammed another chair onto the first, destroying 10's arm as he promised. Mox is clearly willing to go to great lengths to get back what is his, but pushing Jon Moxley to a violent edge may be the biggest mistake Brodie Lee has ever made.

MJF v Marko Stunt

Ahead of Saturday night's match against Jungle Boy, MJF told us last week that he would be facing Mr Fun Size in a tune up match here. Marko, as always, fought with heart, having taken slams and throws but pushing back with a series of dropkicks. It wasn't enough to stave off MJF, as he hit a shoulder breaker and transitioned into the Salt of the Earth armbar to force Marko to tap out. After the match, Wardlow handed the Dynamite Dozen ring to MJF, who hit a huge uppercut on the smaller man. It looked as though a beatdown was coming, but Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus charged the ring, driving the heels to the back.

Arn Anderson and Jake "The Snake" Roberts Preview Cody v Lance Archer

These two men have become synonymous with their charges and made good choices to represent Cody and Archer respectively. With the gap between the semi-final matches and the final this Saturday, it made sense to keep the competitors away from each other tonight. The two legends traded barbs, with Arn actually complimenting Archer, but Jake quickly changed the tune by making sure the man across from him knew that there was only "six or eight feet of table between us". Arn pushed back, trying to keep the conversation on Saturday's match and the inclusion of Mike Tyson, asking if he was going to throw his snake at the Baddest Man on the Planet. Jake took some more shots at Brandi, but Arn told him that Cody didn't just WANT to win the TNT Championship on Saturday, he NEEDED to - before threatening Jake with a spinebuster. Jake flipped the table, looking like he was ready for a fight, but pulled mediator Tony Schiavone in the way before a group of referees stormed the ring to stop anything else from happening. Now I personally believe there is a good use and place for legends in the industry and that nostalgia is a huge pull, but does anyone actually want to see a match - or even any physicality - between Arn Anderson and Jake Roberts in 2020? These men have a lot to offer, but taking the spotlight from the current talent in any physical way should not be a part of it.

Orange Cassidy v Rey Fenix

Orange Cassidy and Best Friends made their way out, but Cassidy sent his boys to the back, wanting to face his foe on his own. As he took his usual casual stroll to the ring, he suddenly stopped as Rey Fenix flew past him, clearly trying to hit the same kind of devastating kick he did last week. Cassidy's nonchalance was clearly frustrating Fenix, especially as he managed to fight the masked man off without even taking his hands out of his pockets, but Fenix eventually managed to put The King of Sloth Style down with a double foot stomp, then dropkicked him off the ring apron into the camera man. Cassidy managed to fight back, hitting a slingshot DDT for a nearfall and Fenix almost took the win with a corner powerbomb. Kip Sabian came down to the ringside area with a ladder, clearly scouting two of the other men from the Casino Ladder Match. His arrival was enough to cause a distraction in the ring, leading to a low blow by Fenix and a roll up for the win. Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky then tipped Sabian off the ladder into the ring, leading Jimmy Havoc to step in to help his buddy. Colt Cabana joined the fray, leading to a mass brawl on the outside before Chuckie T and Trent launched Orange Cassidy onto the group. Cassidy held himself up at the base of the ladder, clearly a little worse for wear. Will we see this kind of chaos at Double or Nothing and who will the final man be in this match?

Nyla Rose & Britt Baker v Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander

This was a match with big ramifications heading into Double or Nothing, with Nyla Rose defending the AEW Women's Championship against Shida and Baker also taking on Statlander. This was a short but aggressive bout, with Statlander hitting an impressive Samoan Drop on the champ, before Nyla managed to get Shida into position for the Beast Bomb, taking the W. Nyla then brought a table into the ring, looking to put Shida through it but a save by Statlander allowed Shida to turn the tide a throw Nyla from the top rope through the table. These are the top four names in the women's division at the moment and putting them together can lead to greatness, but this was too short for anything special. Hopefully they will all get their time to shine on Saturday night.

There was a short segment from Shawn Spears following this, running down Dustin Rhodes, eventually challenging him to a match at Double or Nothing.

Matt Hardy v Sammy Guevara

With Vanguard 1's demise last week, this battle had even more personal stakes than had been going on the last few weeks. This rivalry between the Inner Circle and the Elite has been bubbling along nicely, but without everyone being available, it needed something to take it to the next level. These two went straight at each other, brawling around the ringside area before Sammy beautifully countered a Twist of Fate with a handstand, followed up by a stiff kick to the back of Hardy's head. After a few nearfalls for each man - including Sammy kicking out of a Twist of Fate - Sammy headed to the top rope for a Shooting Star Press. Hardy managed to avoid it and hit another Twist of Fate to put his opponent away but, as Hardy brought a chair into the ring looking for retribution for Vanguard 1, the screen lit up showing a well beaten Kenny Omega surrounded by the Inner Circle. As the action cut to the beatdown, The Young Bucks made their return - diving off the raised platforms to take out Santana and Ortiz. Nick Jackson managed to get hold of a chair, hitting body shots on everyone. Matt Hardy arrived to help, but the Inner Circle still had control. That is until a returning Hangman Page ran the length of the football field to hit probably the longest clothesline ever. Having taken the advantage, the Elite chased off the Inner Circle and stood strong as a unit ahead of Double or Nothing. However, as the show went off the air, Hangman Page could be seen walking away from his buddies who were posing for the camera.

What did you think of this week's AEW Dynamite? Will Hangman Page stand by his friends at Double or Nothing? Who will be the first ever TNT Champion? Who will the last entrant be in the Casino Ladder Match and who is going to win it? Let me know your thought down below.
